RIP: 23/01/2020 - Mikolow
Fr. Antoni Polaniak was born on 15 January 1950 at Tokornia near to Myslenice in Poland. He finished his noviciate in Bagno professing his first vows in the Society on 15 August 1966. He was ordained a priest on 23 May 1974 in Trzebinia. In 1976 he started to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow where he obtained his master’s degree at the Faculty of Painting on 28 September 1981. Apart from pastoral service in different parishes, Fr. Antony served as a sacral art expert. He designed and created many artistic sacral works, mainly in the USA and Poland. After a long period of illness, he died on 23 January 2020 in Mikolow, at the age of 70, after having been for 54 years a Salvatorian.
