An important project of the Society is coming to a happy end. At St. Joseph’s Dispensary in Namiungo,
the Salvatorian Tanzania Pro-Province has successfully set up the new maternity unit, which was built with the help of international donors. The new block was inaugurated in July 2014. SOFIA’s Africa project coordinator Ms Silvana Leone and health care consultant Mr Matteo Giacomazzi visited the local community in January 2015 to help with the implementation of new medical services for mothers and children.
