RIP: 16/09/2020 - Trzebnica
Fr. Stanisław Ożóg was born on 15 April 1947 in Krzyszkowice. He joined the Salvatorian noviciate in Bagno in the summer of 1964, which he concluded on 24 August 1965, professing his first religious vows in the Society of the Divine Saviour through the Polish Province. Before studying philosophy and theology at the Salvatorian Major Seminary in Bagno, he was sent to Krakow, to finish his secondary studies. He was ordained a priest on 11 April 1976. He worked in several parishes as a vicar and parish priest and the fact that he was a cheerful and very kind hospital chaplain in different hospitals was why the Bishop of Elbląg appointed him as the Diocesan Chaplain of Healthcare for the diocese. In addition to his pastoral zeal, Fr. Stanisław showed always a deep love for academic investigation. He culminated his studies with a doctoral dissertation about the relationship between religiosity and nationality. Completely unexpected, he died on 16 September 2020 in Trzebnica.
