✝ JUSTIN NGOY MIKOMBE SDS

He was 49 years old and had been professed for 23 years.

Father Justin Ngoy Mikombe was born on February 26, 1976, in Lwabo, Haut-Lomami Province, République Democratique du Congo. He was the son of François Mikombe and Rose Nday. He attended Mushibi Primary School in Nkinda and Nk:enda-Bantu Institute for secondary school, where he obtained his state diploma in general education.

He was admitted to the Salvatorian preparatory course from 1999 to 2000 in Kolwezi. He was a postulant from 2000 to 2001 and a novice from 2001 to 2002 in Lubumbashi. He took his first vows on June 29, 2002, and his perpetual vows on September 29, 2010. He studied philosophy at the Blessed John XXIII Scholasticate in Kolwezi and theology in Brazil and at the Blessed John XXIII Scholasticate. Father Justin was ordained a priest on July 30, 2011, in Lubumbashi.

In his priestly life, he was parochial vicar at Saint Michel Kalamba Parish (Kolwezi) and a missionary in Mozambique from 2012-2002 where he also served as a delegate of the Brazilian Provincial Superior in Mozabique and a Parish Priest. From the end of 2022 to mid-2026 he was a member of the Saint Jean Community and then of the Saint Michel community where towards the end of 2026 to 2026 he served as the procura. 

Father Justin Ngoy Mikombe passed away at the Diamant Medical Center in Lubumbashi after a long illness. He died faithful to his Catholic faith and to his Salvatorian religious convictions. He was a pleasant confrere, maintaining easy relationships with everyone in the communities and in his pastoral environments. Father Justin died just short of his 50th  birthday having completed 23 years of vows and 14 years if priestly ordination. May he rest in the peace of the one he served, Christ our Divine Savior.
