The proposed facilitator for the next general chapter is Fr. Paul Smyth CMF.
The last general chapters were helped by a facilitator. The facilitator helps to moderate for plenum sessions at the request of the Presidium. The facilitator does not have the right to vote in the general chapter; his or her responsibility is to help the smooth functioning of the chapter to accomplish its work.
The facilitator has at any time the right to intervene in the consultations of the plenum, in the preparation work of the steering committee or in the discussion of the chapter committees and groups. He or she can bring in suggestions and recommendations for a better procedure or a better communication.
It is the general chapter's prerogative to confirm, whether it will use such assistance.
