International vocation promotion workshop

On 02 December 2023, the Generalate organised an international workshop on the vocation promotion under the motto: Together towards our future.
The content of the workshop was prepared and presented by our confreres Fr Maciej Szeszko SDS and Fr Luke Angel SDS, who have been working with young people in our youth and vocation promotion apostolates in the Polish Province for many years. They shared their own experience of working with young people in the context of the Salvatorian vocation.

As the participants are spread all over the world, the workshop was held remotely with simultaneous translation into English, Spanish, French and Polish. The program included two sessions and the sharing of experience of different administrative units. The workshop was attended by 26 confreres who work with youth on a daily basis from: Philippines, Poland, Belgium, Spain, Vietnam, India, Tanzania, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, East Timor, Brazil, Peru and Colombia. The whole meeting was supervised by the confreres living in the Generalate: v-Gen. Fr Adam Teneta SDS, formation sec. Fr Krzysztof Gasperowicz SDS, Br Krzysztof Konecko and Fr Jacek Nowak SDS.

At the end, the confreres expressed their wish to continue the extended reflection on the Salvatorian vocation promotion on the international level. The unification of formation forces has been one of the main themes and goals of the Generalate for some time now. Let us hope that it will soon be possible to organize another meeting and invite experts in vocational discernment among young people.
